Once Upon A Time In...
Hollywood

Written and Directed by Quinten Tarantino

While this is one of my favorite movies of all time, I wouldn't say it has the most meaningful or impactful story. There isn't some massive commentary or lesson to be understood here, but it is still one of the most entertaining and captivating films I have ever watched. To explain this, I want to hone in on the parts of this film that make it one of the most stimulating stories of all time.

About Quinten Tarintino

Growing up in Los Angeles with a mother who would take him to see any movie out at the time, Quentin Tarantino had more exposure to film than any other kid in his class, and this love for movies carried over into his career. Initially working at the Video Archives video store, he was happy, but he knew this job wouldn't take him anywhere. After writing and directing his first independent film, Reservoir Dogs, he was now on the map for young and unique filmmakers. After several other amazing movies and a few masterpieces, he made his ninth and latest movie, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, in 2019. Since then, he has also written two novels and has been writing his tenth and final film.

About 93KHJ

93KHJ was the station playing the new hip and groovy hits in the sixties and seventies. As this was Tarantino's staple station as a kid, it makes sense that it's his characters' favorites as well. While clips of it still remain online, 93 KHJ now operates as a Catholic broadcasting station. But this movie has exposed those clips to a whole new generation to appreciate and, even gone, The Real Don Steele and other hosts are still spinning us recods to this day.
